Britney’s Story,

Little Britney was surrendered to an emergency vet in Phoenix. Her family dropped her off as if she were a stray. Typically, paralyzed dogs are euthanized on the spot… thankfully, one of our rescue partners sent us a photo of Britney and asked if we could help. The shelter had already said they would euthanize her on intake, so we had to step in.

We are so happy we did. Britney is the best little sidekick anyone could ask for. She navigates the world in her tiny wheelchair, though she has recently graduated to a bit of spinal walking as well. Spinal walking allows her to take steps without conscious input from the brain. She may always need help from her wheelchair, but she can move confidently and independently.

Britney needs her bladder expressed 3-4 times a day. Each time takes less than 2 minutes!
