Checo came to us from the Chandler 55. Before he went to the “House of Horrors”, Checo was a sweet, friendly, loving little dog…

Once he was released, it was obvious he had developed some behavior issues. He was uncertain, and landed a few bites shortly after exiting AZ Humane.

Sarah and I offered to take over, dogs that bite are appreciated and respected in our care. We know this is a form of communicating, and do we not fault animals for acting like animals.

If you aren’t familiar with the Chandler 55, Checo along with 60 + other innocent dogs, were subjected to cruel, disgusting torture by one sociopath human being.

Checo is a darling little guy, that rubs up on our legs like he’s a cat! He does great with the other little dogs, however, he still will throw a punch(bite)to a human when he gets uncomfortable.

We will keep Checo in our rescue and continue to work with him daily to help rebuild his trust and confidence in humans.

Unfortunately at this time, he is not up for adoption, but would still love someone to sponsor his ongoing care until he is ready!
